Sunny Days

We had a beautiful, sunny day on Saturday. Chris was powerwashing the house--on his birthday, I might add. Bill was painting, I was running around and the boys finally got to play outside all day.

Did I mention we had a week of rain?

Faces only a Mother could love.

Boys!

The kids have been spending a lot of time outside with the beautiful weather. Bohdan walks in with his pants down around his ankles and his shirt up. He's potty trained now, so I'm concerned about what he's been doing. Our conversation goes like this:

Me: Did you pee outside?

Bohdan: No.

Me: Then why are your pants down?

Bohdan: I got pee on my shirt; see?

Me: So you peed outside?

Bohdan: No

Me: Then how did you get pee on your shirt?

Bohdan: Making cake.

*huh*

Me: You PEED in the dirt to make MUD????

Bohdan: *sweetest expression possible* yeah.

Conclusion: A shirt with a bit of pee on it is no good, but making mud with pee is just fine.

Pink Playhouses and Worms

Last summer, we bought the boys a playhouse at a garage sale. Yes, it's pink and blue and kitchen-y, but the boys love it. They quickly dirtied it up, squished down the roof climbing on it and figured out how to rig a slide to get off.

We put it in the backyard thinking that we would drag it from spot to spot so it wouldn't kill the grass. Riiiight. Where do you think the boys got the mud from? The floor of the unmoved playhouse.

Since we are selling our house and paying to have the lawn treated, we moved it to a spot we are going to mulch over anyway.

It's right near the birdfeeders. You can see Bohdan is happy with it's new home.

When we moved it we found this in the sink.
Yup, they have a worm colony in the sink.
